The Limone sul Garda cycle route is certainly one of the most representative works that have been built on Lake Garda in recent years.
Known and appreciated by an increasing number of Italian and foreign cycle tourists, it boasts a truly unique structural feature. This track was in fact built for long stretches cantilevered over the waters of Lake Garda, anchored to the rocks by a system of steel sleepers.

Ciclovia del Garda
Inaugurated in July 2018, it is part of the first section of an alternative route to the road 45 bis Gardesana Occidentale, which will connect the town of Limone sul Garda in the province of Brescia to the town of Riva del Garda in the province of Trento. It is currently about 2.5 km long and starts near the locality of Capo Reamol and ends in the locality of Pescarol.
In the near future, it will become an integral part of the Ciclovia del Garda, a long ring-road that can be travelled on foot or by bicycle, through which it will be possible to move around the entire perimeter of Lake Garda in a totally sustainable manner.
Sustainability is in fact one of the crucial themes of modern environmental policies, but also one of the fundamental concepts behind cycle tourism. The cycle and pedestrian path in Limone sul Garda is a concrete example of the efforts made by institutions to modernise the roads around Lake Garda, while reducing environmental pollution.
Cycle tourism represents a new way of holidaying, made for living in the open air and at a slower pace. In recent years it has been able to conquer an ever-increasing number of enthusiasts, and today it is one of the fastest growing segments of the Italian tourism market.
