A practical guide to the public transport of Lake Garda area, with all the timetables and the main bus routes.
The area surrounding Lake Garda is very large, divided between the regions of Veneto, Lombardy and Trentino-Alto Adige. Tourists who want to travel along its roads can rely on a very efficient bus network. Every day, numerous routes allow you to quickly reach all the lakeside towns and the nearby cities of Verona, Brescia, Mantua and Trento without using a car. The bus service is managed by four different transport companies, whose buses cover the entire perimeter of Lake Garda.
For those who arrive by train, the nearest stations are Peschiera del Garda and Desenzano del Garda, with several bus stops located nearby. Bus services are more frequent in spring and summer, while in autumn and winter the bus service maintains continuity on the main routes.
ATV bus timetables and routes (Verona shore)
The ATV (Azienda Trasporti Verona) buses provide regular connections between Verona Porta Nuova station, Valerio Catullo airport in Villafranca and the main towns on the eastern shore of Lake Garda. Tickets can be purchased at official ATV ticket offices or at authorised sales points, making it easier to plan the journey.

To Mount Baldo by bus: the ATV bus routes
Mount Baldo is easily accessible from Lake Garda thanks to several ATV bus routes, which operate all year round or seasonally. On routes 470 and 476, during certain periods of the year, you can take advantage of the optional Bus Walk&Bike service, which, for a small supplement on the ticket price, allows you to transport your bicycle on a special trolley.
