CASTELLETTO DI BRENZONE
Brenzone lays in the olive trees Riviera, on a marvellous
position. Its hinterland, with a peculiar landscape, offers the visitor the
chance of hiking on the hills or through the mountains, in route towards the
alpine refuges located on the nearby Baldo mountain
Castelletto, a Benzone city hamlet, has experienced a period of significant
tourist development in the last decade.
This area is dominated by an olive tree scrub that comes out from the Mediterranean
vegetation.
The most important tourist element is the San Zeno church, a very interesting
Romanesque building with two apses of the XII cent., together with a bell
tower that has mullion windows with two lights, and that is supported by a
four point top. In the protyrus lunette there is a fresco painting of a blessing
Christ (XIV cent.)
